To save ourselves, we need to save nature.
We need to accelerate the pace of nature conservation and protect 30% of U.S. land and ocean by 2030.
Nature is special and deserves to be protected. By now, many of us may be feeling overwhelmed by what the science says about the future of our planet’s climate, suggesting that we have somewhere between 10-12 years to completely change how we interact with our habitat, or we will face the severe consequences of a man-made global catastrophe.
Recognizing that we must take bold action to right the ship, The Healthy Oceans Coalition, along with advocates around the world, scientists, global leaders, and environmental organizations are sending out a rallying cry of support for the 30x30 campaign. This campaign’s goal is to protect 30 percent of the world’s oceans and landmass by the year 2030. If this is achieved, we can avoid a biodiversity crisis and keep our planet and communities healthy.
Stand up for nature by signing our petition supporting resolutions introduced in the House of Representatives and Senate by Representative Haaland and Senator Udall urging Congress to strongly protect at least 30% of lands and 30% of ocean areas by 2030.

We support Senate Resolution 372 and House Resolution 835 (the 30x30 resolutions) and their goal of protecting at least 30% of land and 30% of ocean areas by 2030 as necessary to protect nature and ourselves.
We acknowledge only 12% of the United States’ land area and 26% of U.S. oceans have been conserved as protected areas.
We support the House and Senate 30x30 resolutions' acknowledgements that access to public land, nature, and a healthy environment is a right for all people and that access to these places is essential to our country’s health and well-being.
We support the House and Senate 30x30 resolutions in their call for improving access to nature for ALL people, including communities of color & economically disadvantaged communities.
We support the House and Senate 30x30 resolutions’ call for fully addressing environmental justice and the necessity for a much more equitable distribution of nature’s benefits to ALL people, including communities of color and economically disadvantaged communities.
